Gelato 101

I went to Bali and visited Gusto (my favorit gelateria so far) recently.



and guess what?

they have tons of flavours!






y'know, picking flavours was quite hard. As hard as picking starter pokemon. For sure. Well, I won't spent my Rp 42.000,00 for a weird combination of gelato. Duh. Even though I reaally fancy weird and/or strong flavours that punch me right in my tongue (like lemongrass, kemangi/Indonesian Basil, caramel thingy, etc), combination of those weirdos might make you taste a bit of disapoinment.

I was eating a caramel and lemongrass gelato (believe me. It didn't go well.) when my cousin said "hmmm aku suka yang rasa vanilla. klo aku beli gelato pasti pake vanilla soalnya itu jadi 'nasi'nya terus yang lain jadi 'lauk'nya". That 'curhat'an gave me a revelation and changed my life. It makes afuckin' sense.

So, whenever you tryna choose some flavours, don't go wild all the way. Just pick one 'calm' flavour like vanilla and go wild with the rest. oh, and make sure you have a glass of water 'cos it'll prevent the super sweet annoying tongue. The key is "Be wild for a moment. Tame it for a while. Repeat" and you'd got the best gelato experience. I hope.
